Because
we thought it would be fun…
Seriously though we are doing this for the
propose of raising money for the Child Bereavement Charity (CBC).
The team of eight oarsmen, one cox and two
passengers have covered all the cost of the event and therefore everything we
raise goes straight to the charity.
The Child Bereavement Charity (CBC)
provides specialised support, information and training to all those affected when
a baby or child dies, or when a child is bereaved. They also provide a range of training
courses and resources for professional from the NHS, emergency services,
schools, social care and the voluntary sector. The charity annually trains around 5,000 professional and associated
volunteers.
By learning continuously from
children and parents, CBC leads the way in improving the quality of care
offered by professional to such families, both in the immediate and in the time
following the death of someone important in their lives.
I do hope you will be able to
sponsor us, if you are able to donate on-line then this is actually preferable
to the charity as it makes the process much simpler for them. Please go to:
